1. Who we are

The Framework Lab is a trading name of Parallax Labs Ltd, a registered New Zealand company (NZBN: 9429053481269).

We provide fixed-price process improvement services for New Zealand and Australian SMEs. Our contact email is hello@frameworklab.co.nz and our phone number is +64 21 088 30106.

This privacy policy applies to our website at frameworklab.co.nz and to all personal information we collect through our contact form, email correspondence, and website analytics.

2. What information we collect

We collect only the information reasonably necessary for our business functions. This includes:

  • Contact form submissions: Your name, email address, company name (optional), and the message you provide. This is submitted via Netlify Forms and delivered to us by email.
  • Direct emails: Whatever information you include when you email us at hello@frameworklab.co.nz.
  • Website analytics (optional): If you consent, we collect limited measurement data through Google Analytics 4 (GA4). This includes page visits, CTA clicks, contact form starts, contact form completions, booking option clicks, phone link clicks, email link clicks, and attribution context such as landing page and UTM parameters where available. We do not collect form message content or booking form contents for analytics.
  • Server logs: Our hosting provider, Netlify, may collect standard server logs (page requests, timestamps, IP addresses) for operational and security purposes.

We do not use session recordings, heatmaps, advertising profiling, cross-site behavioural tracking, or any technology that tracks you across other websites.

3. How we collect information

We collect personal information in the following ways:

  • Directly from you when you submit our contact form or email us.
  • When you choose to book a call, information you provide is collected by Cal.com and processed under Cal.com's privacy policy.
  • Automatically through Netlify server logs and, if you consent, through Google Analytics.
  • Through UTM parameters and session storage to understand how visitors found our site (only when analytics consent is granted).

We do not purchase contact lists, scrape data from third-party sources, or collect information about you from public records without your knowledge.

4. Why we collect and use your information

We use your personal information for the following purposes:

  • To respond to your enquiries and communicate with you about our services.
  • To deliver the services you have engaged us to provide.
  • To understand how visitors interact with our website so we can improve it (analytics data only, with your consent).
  • To comply with legal obligations, including New Zealand tax and company record-keeping requirements.

We do not use your personal information for automated decision-making, profiling, or any purpose that would significantly affect you without human involvement.

5. How we store and protect your information

Contact form submissions are processed through Netlify Forms and delivered to us by email. We store enquiry emails and related correspondence securely using standard business email systems with access controls.

Analytics data, where you have consented, is processed by Google and subject to Google's data processing terms. We have configured GA4 with IP anonymisation enabled, advertising signals disabled, and data retention set to the minimum available period.

We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information against loss, unauthorised access, use, modification, or disclosure. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission over the internet is completely secure.

6. How long we keep your information

We retain enquiry emails and related correspondence for as long as needed to provide our services and meet our legal and regulatory obligations. Typically this means:

  • General enquiries where no engagement follows: up to 2 years from last contact.
  • Client engagement records: minimum 7 years to comply with New Zealand tax record-keeping requirements.
  • Analytics data: subject to Google's data retention settings, configured to the minimum available period.

If you would like us to delete your information earlier, contact us and we will do so promptly, subject to any legal obligations requiring us to retain it.

7. Who we share your information with

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share it only where necessary to operate our business:

  • Netlify: Hosts our website and processes contact form submissions. Netlify's privacy policy governs how they handle data on their platform.
  • Google: Processes analytics data if you have consented. Google's privacy policy governs their handling of analytics data.
  • Cal.com: Provides the appointment scheduling service when you choose a booking option. Cal.com's privacy policy governs information submitted through its booking flow.
  • Legal and regulatory bodies: Where required by New Zealand law, regulation, or court order.

We do not transfer personal information outside of New Zealand or Australia except where our service providers (Netlify, Google) may process data in other jurisdictions as described in their own privacy policies.

8. Your rights under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020

Under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020, you have the right to:

  • Access your information: Ask us what personal information we hold about you and receive a copy.
  • Correct your information: Ask us to correct any personal information we hold that you believe is inaccurate.
  • Request deletion: Ask us to delete your personal information where there is no legal reason for us to retain it.

To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@frameworklab.co.nz. We will respond within 20 working days as required by the Privacy Act.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner.

9. Information for Australian users

We serve clients in both New Zealand and Australia. While Parallax Labs Ltd is a New Zealand company and primarily governed by New Zealand law, we respect the privacy expectations of our Australian clients.

If you are based in Australia, the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) provide a framework for how personal information should be handled. We handle all personal information in accordance with the standards set out in this policy, which align with the APPs. You can change your analytics preference at any time by clearing your browser's local storage for our website, which will cause the consent prompt to appear again.

11. Privacy breaches

If you suspect a privacy breach related to your personal information, contact us immediately at hello@frameworklab.co.nz.
